Founded in 1969, Advanced Programs, Incorporated (API) has been dedicated to outstanding performance for agencies involved with intelligence, defense, and foreign affairs that require the development, production, and life-cycle support of specialized computer and networking products and services. Our typical customers are program management offices responsible for acquiring, deploying and maintaining computer and network solutions that meet stringent security requirements for their field site operations.

Mike Gormley

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Gormley currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at Advanced Programs, Inc. He is responsible for strategy, corporate development, and creating new revenue streams. His career includes 25 years of strategic management for technology companies focusing on analytics, information security, test automation, and embedded systems.

Before returning to API, Mr. Gormley created and launched the public sector business units for venture-backed software startups Ayasdi (acquired by SymphonyAI Sensa) and Tamr, Inc. Previously, Mike was API’s SVP of Sales and Marketing. Additionally, he was VP of Sales at Computer I/O Corporation and General Manager of Signal Processing Services, Inc. Gormley started his career as a research engineer, designing anti-submarine warfare systems for the U.S. Navy. He holds an MS in Technology Management from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of America.

Mark Figley

Executive Vice President of Finance & Operations

Mr. Figley is responsible for overall operations and short- and long-term strategies for API. His career includes over 30 years of experience in executive leadership and finance for companies manufacturing secure products for the defense and intelligence communities. Before coming to API, he was VP of Finance for DRS Electronic Systems Inc. in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Mr. Figley is a member of the Maryland Association of CPAs and has an M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola College and a B.S. in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University.

Dave Dangora

Vice President of Engineering

Mr. Dangora has a career that spans 36 years of Hardware Design, Tempest Hardware Design and Engineering Management. He has worked for Wang Laboratories, DigitalNet, BAE Systems and Advanced Programs, Inc.

Mr. Dangora holds a BSEE from Northeastern University.

Rob Deyo

Vice President of Operations

Rob Deyo, Vice President of Operations, has been with Advanced Programs, Inc. since 2022. Rob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from Salisbury University and brings 21 years of experience in the Defense industry.

With his expertise in senior management and, operations planning and program management, he oversees all aspects of API’s production process. Rob is responsible for driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and meet Customer needs.
