Warehouse Associate in Salem New Hampshire

SUMMARY

Receives, ships, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
  • Pick hardware for all production jobs
  • Verifies hardware inventory balances and notifies management of inventory adjustments when needed
  • Perform inventory transactions in support of MRB (Material Review Board) and picks replacement parts for job completion
  • Issues hardware backorders
  • Verifies and signs for count accuracy for all other backorders being issued from the warehouse
  • Ensures hardware inventory accuracy in warehouse and on the production floor
  • Requisitions floor stock to keep working balance at all times
  • Enters data into the company ERP system as it relates to performance of duties
  • Keeps management informed of all issues that may arise
  • Performs cycle counts on designated hardware locations daily
  • Assists with other material duties as needed. Examples: Pick jobs, material delivery, receiving and shipping

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma and/or 1 year related experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate basic information to other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
