Information Technology Specialist - Salem, New Hampshire


Daily support of end users as well as assist in maintaining, upgrading and managing our software, hardware, and network to optimize the overall infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Triage and respond to tickets created through the ticketing system in a timely and courteous manner. Resolve or escalate as appropriate and document steps taken.
  • Installation and maintenance of user workstations and laptops.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy management. Account creation, network folder permissions, mailbox creation, and system/user configuration.
  • Monitoring status of overall network and enterprise system health and security. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
  • Network printer maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Work with software and hardware vendors for support when necessary to resolve complex problems.
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems administration and troubleshooting, including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 2008-2016 Server.
  • Symantec Endpoint Management administration.
  • Software support to include commercial and in-house applications.
  • VOIP administration.

One to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; design software; development software; internet software and manufacturing software.

Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and Windows PC Operating Systems Win 7 and 10, Microsoft Office Suites 2010, 2013, 2016, and other Microsoft software. A working knowledge of Windows domain architecture and networking including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory. An understanding of basic SQL and query concepts. Familiarity with coding/scripting languages.
